Description

With context switching between everyone’s “gotta learn to code, gotta learn to code.” and traditional education as current trend: here I’d love to present some quests on teaching and learning Python around Taiwan Python community. Including: 1. Changes, chances, and challenges. 2. What’re we proposing. 3. How’re we doing. 4. From here import future.

Abstract

Scene: The tide of coding is hitting the world. Events and organizations dedicated to coding pops up, e.g., _Hour of Code_ in United States, _Code Club_ in United Kingdom, and _Code for Tomorrow_ in Taiwan. Coding is the new powerful perspective we participle and improve politics and society. There are new platforms and business serves learning to code, e.g., _CheckiO_, _trinket_, and _Code School_. Now we have more lots to learn after school. With Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on the run, it may look like that traditional education is lagging far behind. The demand and supply of learning to code is raising dramatically. Here I’d like to share the quest of these chances for Python in Taiwan.
