Justin Mayer
After several years in Japan, Justin Mayer now designs and builds software products in Santa Monica, California. He has presented talks at PyCon, DjangoCon, and SCALE. His latest project is focused on improving server security via enhanced automatic package upgrades. In his spare time, Justin works on several open-source projects — among those, he maintains the Pelican static site generator1 and is the author of the Tacklebox and Tackle projects for the Fish shell.
Justin speaks fluent Japanese and is slowly learning Italian. He graduated with honors from the University of California, Berkeley, and received his Master’s degree from Wharton.
