Sponsorship Prospectus
PyCon JP 2016 Sponsor application deadline is Sunday, July 31st.
Please note that after the deadline, you may still apply to become a sponsor. However if you apply after the deadline, we cannot feature your logo on the banners or in the program guide. We also won't be able to handle tote bag inserts. We therefore recommend you apply as soon as possible to get the most out of your sponsorship.
PyCon JP is the largest, annual gathering in Japan of the community using and developing the open-source Python programming language. The conference draws more than 700 people from diverse backgrounds and positions, making it an great chance to introduce and promote your business or organization, whether you are trying to hire new talent or increase the user base of your services.
We are dedicated to provide an enjoyable experience to everyone and your sponsorship will help keep PyCon JP affordable and accessible to the widest possible participants. A variety of sponsorship options are available, please see below for details. Sponsorship Packages
Diamond Level Sponsor (limited to one sponsor)
- 1,000,000 JPY (excl. tax)

- 300,000 JPY (excl. tax)
- Logo on the stage of the main conference room
- Medium size logo on the main banner at the entrance
- Medium size logo in the program guide
- Gold level banner link on the PyCon JP website
- A description of your company on the PyCon JP website
- Up to 2 inserts (provided by you) for our tote bags
- 3 free conference tickets
- Promotional booth space

Silver Level Sponsor
- 100,000 JPY (excl. tax)
- Logo on main banner at the entrance
- Small size logo in the program guide
- Silver level banner link on the PyCon JP website
- A description of your company on the PyCon JP website
- Up to 1 insert (provided by you) for our tote bags
- 1 free conference ticket
- Your sponsorship will be announced on the official PyCon JP Twitter account
- Promotional booth or recruiting session
- Please note that depending on the number of sponsors in higher levels, you might not get a slot in either
- You can secure a promotional booth or recruiting session slot by choosing the Early Commitment Option (see below)
- We will inform you two weeks before the conference whether you will get a slot
Extra Sponsorship Options
Early Commitment Option for Silver Sponsors
- 50,000 JPY (excl. tax)
- Only available for Silver Sponsors (other Sponsor Levels already have this option included)
- Secures you either a promotional booth or recruiting session slot.
Lanyard Sponsorship (limited to one sponsor)
- 200,000 JPY (excl. tax)
- Your logo will be alongside the PyCon JP logo on the lanyard of all attendees.
- You can either design the strap yourself, provided you include the PyCon JP logo, or send us your logo.
- Please make sure to send us your logo or design as early as possible for review.
Tote Bag Sponsorship (limited to one sponsor)
- 150,000 JPY (excl. tax)
- Your logo will be alongside the PyCon JP logo on the tote bags all attendees receive.
- You can either provide your own design, provided it includes the PyCon JP logo, or send us your logo.
- Please make sure to send us your logo or design as early as possible for review.
Soft Drinks Sponsorship (limited to one sponsor)
- 100,000 JPY (excl. tax)
- Your company will be the official sponsor of the soft drinks provided during the lunch breaks.
- The drinks will be marked as provided by your company. (Eg "Drinks sponsored by Your Company Ltd")
- You may alternatively provide your own soft drinks that include your logo, in which case you do not have to pay for this option. Should you choose to do so, please be aware that choice of drinks and design must be approved by PyCon JP staff.
Snacks Sponsorship (limited to one sponsor)
- 300,000 JPY (excl. tax)
- Your company will be the official sponsor of the sweets and coffee during the coffee breaks.
- The sweets and coffee will be marked as provided by your company. (Eg "Coffee and sweets sponsored by Your Company Ltd")
- We can place your logo on some of the sweets, so please make sure to send us your logo as early as possible for review.
Party Sponsorship (limited to one sponsor)
- 150,000 JPY (excl. tax)
- Your company will be the official sponsor of the food at the PyCon JP party at the end of the first day.
- We can place your logo on the dessert, so please make sure to send it to us as early as possible for review.
Additional Information
- To choose any of the Extra Sponsorship Options, you must also apply for a Diamond, Platinum, Gold or Silver sponsorship.
- For the Extra Sponsorship Options you can either provider your own goods (tote bags, lanyard, ...) or send us the logo to be used.
- Diamond Sponsors will get a reserved Lightning Talk session. Besides that we will not provide reserved talk sessions or lightning talks. Please submit your talks through the standard talk submission system.
- Your staff for your promotional booth or the job fair can apply for special tickets. Note that those tickets do not cover the talk sessions or party.

Sponsorship Timeline
- End of April: Decide on the details of the job fair.
- Mid May: Briefing sponsors and likely sponsors.
- Late July: First deadline for sponsorship applications. If you want to have your logo on our materials and your tote bag inserts, you must apply by this deadline.
- August 12th: Second deadline for sponsorship applications. If you apply by this deadline, you won't be able to have your logo on our materials or tote bag inserts.
- Mid August: Second briefing of sponsors.
- Two weeks before the conference: Deadline for submitting your tote bag inserts.
- One week before the conference: Deadline for registering sponsor ticket attendees and promotional booth staff.
